Code Orange

Code Orange - 3 Songs from 7" by HASH BROWNS

Here is a Code Orange 7"....I really used to like these three songs, and when I came across this the other day along with a few others, I found that these songs are still really good. Code Orange is from Milwaukee, WI and traveled down to the lemp a few times in the summer of 02. I don't know the names of the songs because this is one of the many 7"'s that I rescued from chris brown, and he was not very good at keeping sleeves. This one happened to come in a small cardboard box with the lyrics and artwork glued to the inside, and printed in black on the outside. Since there is nothing but a grey label on the record I don't know any other info

Conformists - Black Dahlia

Conformists - Hatch It by HASH BROWNS
Conformists - Black Dahlia by HASH BROWNS
I came across this Conformists 7" today, shoved into a sleeve with a couple other records I had bought at the lemp...This one in particular is a favorite of mine. It does no justice to a Conformists show, but it comes pretty close. Notice that both sides are labeled "side A" the name of the record was Black Dahlia, but I think that the Black Dahlia track ended up on the b-side according to the etches on the record. At the end of the Black Dahlia side there is a loop that plays eternally. This guy is a little scratched and dirty, but it didn't skip or anything...so that's awesome

Incinerator - Lampshade by oopsound
Here is a song from the B side of Incinerator's 7" Spin U Round. Spin U round is generally pretty lame, but Lampshade has always been a favorite song of mine. I got this outta the 99 cent stack

Warhammer 48k - Sock Tape

Warhammer 48k - Sock Tape by oopsound
Here is a tape that I got at the Lemp Arts Center...I'm pretty sure it was Warhammer 48k's fist or second show, Hyphen-O played with them at one of Mark's birthday party shows, 2004 I think...the tape came in a duct taped sock, and there were probably like 10 of them....the latter part of the first song is nothing short of ep...they did a version of the take lots of pills song on the record they put out on permanent, bit it wasn't anytthing close to as awesome as this version is...at least check out that song

Starsircleanatomy - it's fucked up; it's a rainbow

starsircleanatomy - it's fucked up; it's a rainbow by oopsound

Here are a few songs from a tape by Izaak Schlossman as "Starsircleanatomy" I randomly picked up called: it's fucked up; it's a rainbow. He made a limited number of copies all with different artwork by Christopher Hunt. These songs kind of go together so I thought they would be the best three...and are my fav from the tape. I believe this was self-released.

Narcotik Da Godd w/ Maddattixx - Da Narchronicalz

Maddattixx - Da Narchronicalz by oopsound

Maddatixx:
Narcotik Da Godd
J-Rush
Syce Dogg

This sounds like it would be just about the worst thing you could possibly listen to judging by the name. Actually it is quite the opposite. This is a cd I got when I was about 17 and working at a call center activating credit cards over the phone. I started hanging out with Josh "J Rush" and getting weed from his hippie roomate Danksy. Josh sat by me and we talked about shit, and since I was going to school at the time and had access to the computer lab, he wanted me to make copies of these cd's for him to hand out at the "Hip-hop Chop Shop" at a bar in Alton, IL. I made several copies for him because I fucking loved the songs! Narcotik Da Godd is really one of the best rappers I've EVER heard, and it just makes it better that he was working at the same call center..all of the Maddattixx worked there at one point, but before I actually got to meet Narcotik, he was sent back to jail for violating his probation by having guns in his house. He is really the only thing great about the songs..some of the other guys you hear are bad for sure, you can tell. Narcotik is the one who starts off all of the songs, except for Hellbound where Josh does the first verse. REALLY, THESE SONGS ARE AWESOME. And it is a miracle that I even still have them because I thought they were lost forever since this was the only copy, and it was so scratched I couldn't ever get it to play in the car so I thought it was just fucked...I tried it out one day randomly last month and it worked! so I stuck it in the computer and everything came out perfect!

Spaces Amazing Kitty Cat Band - Holiday Me

Spaces Amazing Kitty Cat Band - Holiday Me by HASH BROWNS
A song from the FREE BEASTS compilation on Not Not Fun...I was going to put up some more from it, but it is only letting me do one at a time now since I already did too many sets or some shit...this is a fun song from the tape though, and the tape was all animal themed so all of the bands had animal like names, or animal songs

In Medias Res - The Adequate Seven Inch

In Medias Res - The Adequate Seven Inch by HASH BROWNS

In Medias Res was possibly my favorite band from St. Louis times.....I am so glad that I still have this 7" and that it plays so well. I heard there was a big reunion this past thanksgiving weekend where they played, and Kill Me Kate played as well. Too bad I just moved out here..... oh well
